Outfits, Styles, and Colors
When it comes to your photo session, what you wear matters. Finding your perfect outfit and colors that can complement your own features, while enhancing your background making you the star of the show in your photos. But how do you find the perfect outfit, colors, or style?
You should go into your photo session with a vision in mind. Your photographer will be able help build your style with location options, and color tones. As a photographer I organize my locations by color themes, and I often like to chat with clients about their outfits so if I need to quickly switch things up to get the best color combination I can!
Let's chat colors, a few things to keep in mind when picking your outfits is the time of year. The seasons offer a wide range of color and photo opportunity. (Reds, cream tones, browns in the fall - cool tones like blues, blacks, burgundy in the winter - pinks, greens, blues in the springtime, and warm tones, like yellows, whites, oranges for summer) .For more of a formal style of photo it's best to stick to solid colors, or simple patterns. You want to eliminate distracting elements that can take away from the big picture. When getting your family ready for photos a good tip to always coordinate well is assigning each gender a color, (example- Boys wear light blues, Girls wear whites or creams) there's a wide range to mix and match. Black, or creams are always great choices for keeping things simple. Again, always feel free to chat with your photographer we want to help you get the most out of your photo opportunity!
Overall, your style is unique to you! Remember comfort is always the key thing to keep in mind. As well as what the weather wants to do. Make your session your own by adding your own spin with your fit! In the end this is about you and what you want your photos to look like photographers build off of as much information you can give about your style and personal likes.
